Supplement to the Annual Update to the 2021–22 LCAP

Pursuant to a new one-time requirement in the Governor's July Budget, the District presented an update on the 2021-22 LCAP to the Board on February 8th in order to share a point-in-time report related to funding received through the 2021 Budget Act, which includes federal Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief (ESSER) III funds, as well as the implementation of the LCAP to date.

In compliance with this requirement, the District included the following in this update:

Supplement to the Annual Update (a stand-alone document which will be included for adoption in the 2022 LCAP)
Available mid-year outcome data related to metrics in the 2021 LCAP
Mid-year expenditure and implementation data for actions in the 2021 LCAP

Important context:

This is a point-in-time report: no changes are being made to the LCAP, the ESSER III Plan, or the Path to Recovery Plan through this document
District staff have already shared many of these updates through regular Board budget, engagement, and data briefings
Los Angeles Unified communities are engaged about all of this information as part of ongoing District planning processes

NEW LCAP School Accountability for 2022 LCAP

The new LCAP template requires a separate goal focused on addressing disparities in performance at certain schools compared to the District. Four schools in LAUSD have been identified for inclusion in the LCAP. For more information, please refer to the LCAP School Accountability Infographic here.

*Note that this is based on old data (the most recent year of data reflected on the 2019 Dashboard was from 2018-19)
